Scottish Legal Aid Board Solicitor
The Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB) has funded a solicitor to provide high quality advice for advisers working in the different organisations within Argyll and Bute Advice Network. This service is for both paid and volunteer advisers to help them to deal with legal problems that affect their clients.This service is provided free of charge to both the advice agency and their clients.
The SLAB Solicitor, Colin Forbes, who is based in Lochgilphead, can also undertake general, civil casework on behalf of clients who are eligible for legal aid. Many legal firms in Argyll and Bute provide a range of legal services under the Legal Aid Scheme. Colin only accepts casework referrals if Legal Aid services are not, otherwise, reasonably available. Colin is also actively involved in delivering specialist training to advisers according to their requirements.
