Who we are

The Argyll and Bute Advice Network (A.B.A.N) was set up in 2004 as a partnership of public, private and voluntary sector groups. We work together to ensure that people in Argyll and Bute have easy access to good quality advice and information on a wide range of issues. We aim to:
  • develop a sustainable network of advice and information provision for all citizens in the Argyll and Bute local authority area;
  • maximise the sharing of good practice between agencies; and 
  • develop a planned approach to the delivery of advice and information services in Argyll and Bute.
A.B.A.N partners meet quarterly, and those agencies that are unable to attend meetings regularly are provided with meeting minutes and any additional information that may be of use to them.
