Analyse results

To analyse results from an entitlement calculation

Once results have been generated you can:
  • See details of the calculation by clicking on the links in the header for each entitlement. The ticks/crosses next to these indicate whether the client is potentially eligible, so, for instance, Council Tax Benefit is ticked whenever an amount greater than 0 is entered for Council Tax.
  • Look at the effect of changes in income and capital by going to the ‘what if?’ page (accessed via the breadcrumbs at the top of the page). You can set the look of the diagram by choosing the start and end points for the axes and the step between each data point.
  • Compare two (or more) circumstances by performing a ‘better-off’ calculation. To start a better off calculation:
  1. Click on ‘Edit’ in the header
  2. When you return to the client details page click on the ‘save as’ button next to the reference ID
  3. Enter a new reference ID and click on ‘save’ to store it in the database
  4. Go through the calculation again changing details as relevant (if you choose you can skip straight to the relevant page using the breadcrumbs)
  5. Click on ‘better-off calculation’ in the breadcrumbs to see a table comparing the two results
